Needing a bus into town, you'll find yourself partway between two stops, like a GCSE maths problem. If I walk to the nearest stop, it'll take five minutes. But if the bus is travelling at 30 miles an hour, I'll be there in four. But then again, walking to the other stop takes eight minutes, but maybe the bus is running late, et cetera, et cetera. §
