When you visit a market in a foreign country that you make some family who previously told you how the local market traders love to banter and haggle. Boyed by this, you have a go at negotiating, but fail, and you're forced to make an awkward and embarrassing climb down and make out you're absolutely fine with the advertised price. You look to your wife for assurance. She's already walked away. Your children just look at you, disappointed.
