The Old Castleford Coal Convention

When a group of men all convene around a recently lit barbecue to discuss whether or not it's ready to cook on. After a brief recess, the same men reconvene to give their opinion on whether or not the items of food being cooked are done or not, followed by the obligatory gesture of one member of the convention holding his hand over the grill and slating, you could cook on that all night.
